Use the original .nexmap file
Keep a backup of the original .nexmap file and submit a copy. Changing its extension does not convert its format or remove protection. If you only have an ECU and cannot obtain a map file, this upload service cannot replace that read operation.
Include your NSP version and the message you see when opening the map, if available. This context helps the manual review without requiring unrelated vehicle or personal information.
A free test identifies useful map details
For a reviewable Haltech NSP file, the free test may return engine configuration details: cylinders, firing order, capacity, compression and aspiration. It is a practical way to confirm that the submitted map can be inspected. It is not a password result and it does not guarantee that full recovery will succeed.
Full recovery is $100 USD per map. If the map is ready, cryptocurrency payment is arranged manually. There is no fixed completion time because the work is reviewed and handled individually.
An unlocked file, not the old password
Haltech stores the password as a hash, so this service is focused on returning an accessible map copy rather than telling you the original password. The free engine-configuration summary is a separate preview; it does not include the complete unlocked map.
Removing protection necessarily changes some file data. Preserving the calibration means retaining its settings and content, not promising that the original and returned files have identical bytes. The service does not retune the engine, update the map to another file format, or provide ECU activation.
After a successful recovery
The delivered result is a separate .nexmap copy with password protection removed, while preserving the submitted calibration. Open and check that copy in your own normal workflow before relying on it. Keep the original safely archived and retain the email reference for follow-up. You must own the map or have authorization to request this work.
